Judging the correct angle and layline to the leeward mark is critical to a good drop.

Try to make your final gybe on to the layline from not too great a distance.

This makes judgement of angles, distances, wind shifts and any gusts easier.

Crew

Sail the boat as fast as possible on the final approach.

Trim the kite with the luff just curling and concentrate on balancing the boat flat
