Helm

Concentrate on balancing the boat by steering.

Keep the boat as steady as possible for the crew to hoist the kite.

Don’t head up too early so the kite flaps viciously and makes it difficult for the crew.

Crew

Try to practise until you know how many pulls it takes you to pull the kite up. Try to make your last pull of the kite so your hand that is going to pick up the kite sheet is the free hand.

Pick up the kite sheet as soon as you can at the end of the hoist. Try not to let the kite flap!
